Chart notes
RUNHAPPY D'ORO was forwardly placed around the first turn then moved up to match strides with UXMAL entering the backstretch, continued on equal terms turning for home, took on the added challenger of inside running CONTRABANDISTA at the head of the lane, dueled three deep through the stretch run, dug in gamely under firm handling and got up in final strides. CONTRABANDISTA was allowed to settle in early stages then steadily edged up closer running through the backstretch, cut the corner and advanced to challenge for the lead at the head of the lane, dueled gamely from the inside, urged let handed, drifted out and into the path of UXMAL in deep stretch and just missed. UXMAL led the way around the first turn then took on the challenge of RUNHAPPY D'ORO entering the backstretch, battled into stretch run and took on the added challenge of rail running CONTRABANDISTA, dueled gamely from between rivals then was forced to steady late when aforementioned rival came out a path in deep stretch. LIBERTY'S HAULER was allowed to settle through early stages, was ridden along two wide around the far turn, tipped wider for the drive and finished with late response. MEET GEORGE JETSON was forwardly placed around the first turn then dropped back midway up the backstretch, saved ground into the lane and lacked a needed rally. BRIARTOWN raced near midpack through middle stages, flattened around the far turn and faded through the lane. WESTERN TOURIST raced in range through early stages, weakened around the far turn and continued to tire in the drive. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY AND THE RIDER OF UXMAL LODGED A CLAIN OF FOUL AGAINST CONTRABANDISTA IN DEEP STRETCH, AFTER REVIEW CONTRABANDISTA WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND AND PLACED THIRD
