Chart notes
HAP HOT led the way on the inside racing up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and drew off in the lane. YO DAWG chased the pace setter on the outside up the backstretch, raced in the two path around the turn and kept on in the stretch. AMERICAN REFUGEE raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, navigated the turn from the two path, switched to the outside in upper stretch and gained ground late. HAPPY DANCER raced in the middle of the pack on the inside early, moved up while saving ground around the bend, lost his whip entering the stretch and was outkicked from there. ROMAN PHAROAH raced off the pace up the backstretch, came around the turn in the three path and made no bid. EMMITTS ROYAL ECHO hit the gate and steadied at the break, trailed far behind the field up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and was not a factor. THE RIDER OF HORSE TWO, HAPPY DANCER, CLAIMED FOUR AGAINST HORSE 4, AMERICAN REFUGEE, CITING INTERFERENCE ON THE FAR TURN. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
