ON THE PAYROLL steadied at the start, stalked the pacesetter, rallied two wide into the stretch, gained command passing the furlong marker, drew clear at the sixteenth pole and held well under urging. MOM'S RIGHT raced off the pace, chased on the turn, angled out at the eighth pole, rallied and finished well. POET'S WOODS away alertly to set the pace on the inside with a clear lead, dueled with the winner in upper stretch and weakened. EXPECTATIONS MET was bumped at the start and steadied, raced off the pace, chased on the turn and lacked a rally. AUGIE'S GIRL was bumped and steadied at the start, outrun early and closed belatedly. LADY EMPIRE was bumped at the start and outrun.
