Chart notes
GOLD SMOKE pressed the pace while two wide on the backstretch, rallied on the far turn and was in a long sustained drive and proved best in the end. LARRY THE POET set a pressured pace while inside on the backstretch, drew off into the far turn then was in a long drive but weakened in late stretch while drifting out in the end. ICE VORTEX was unhurried early while two wide on the backstretch, made a mild rally on the far turn to upper stretch but was no menace in late stretch. ARMAVIR was allowed to settled while inside, made a bid on the far turn but failed to respond in the stretch drive. CRUISING ALTITUDE was hard to load then stalked the early pace while three wide on the backstretch, was used up and gave way on the far turn. SOHAN was unruly in the gate before the start then appeared to disliked the track surface and was far back on the backstretch, was eased up in the stretch and walked off.
