Chart notes
GOLDEN HEART stalked two wide, steadied in tight between rivals at the four and a half furlong marker, moved up inside on the far turn, rallied on the rail, closed willingly and moved to a clear lead, then held on late. DETERMINED LILLY tracked on the inside, dropped back nearing the far turn, rallied between rivals in tight at the eighth pole, then finished well and was gaining at the end. MARIA'S HONOR steadied at the start, raced off the rail, off the pace, moved up two wide on the far turn, rallied, was steadied at the furlong marker, then rallied mildly for third. COMPASS FIRE set the pace on the inside, showed the way past the quarter pole, drifted out bothering rivals at the eighth pole, then weakened. NOW YUS CANT LEAVE raced three wide early, stalked three wide, chased two wide on the far turn, rallied between rivals, steadied at the eighth pole and finished evenly. FABULOUS CANDY steadied at the start, raced off the rail, off the pace and gave way on the far turn. After a Stewards' Inquiry and Jockey Objection by the rider of NOW YUS CANT LEAVE against the fourth place finisher, COMPASS FIRE was disqualifed and placed fifth.
