Chart notes
DUST DEVIL saved ground on the first turn, settled comfortably off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in the two path, was roused near the quarter-pole, rallied under the crop to get the lead inside the furlong marker and prevailed under strong urging. CUT THE CORD jostled with a foe after the start while hustled, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside in second position, moved closer late on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn, was carried six wide into the stretch, moved in while pursuing the clear leader into the final furlong, gained on the winner late and missed while able to get the place. PORTOS rounded the first turn in the three path, climbed into the kickback late on that bend and early on the backstretch, moved out around the five-eighths, was urged late on the backstretch, went four wide on the far turn, was carried seven wide into the stretch, chased outside in the middle of the track, made a bid near the furlong marker but flattened out while able to get the show. TWO THIRTY FIVE went to the front, dropped from four path to the two path on the first turn, opened up a sizable advantage, went around the far turn in the two path, was asked near the quarter-pole then floated six wide into the stretch, led well out in the track into the final furlong then lost the advantage and weakened. PIT BOSS was hustled from the start, settled on the inside, moved closer late on the backstretch, was given his cue on the far turn, chased into the stretch then came under the crop, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. BOLD VICTORY saved ground at the rear on the first turn, settled off the rail on the backstretch, was urged along in the two path going around the far turn, drifted out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. SILVER DUST jostled with a rival after the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, came up empty in the three path on the far turn and retreated. MOUNT TRAVERS hit the inside of the gate at the start, raced in the two path on the first turn, settled off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, went three wide on the far turn and faltered.
