Chart notes
NOBLE PURSUIT raced off the pace in the two path the first time around the oval, swung out to the four path to began a bid coming around the final turn, gained ground late and pulled clear. MODERN SCIENCE (IRE) stumbled badly leaving the gate, recovered to race off the pace in the two path through the opening half mile, moved up to press the pace on the outside around the second turn and up the backstretch, led into upper stretch and was caught while drifting near the wire. GOPHER GOLD saved ground from off the pace through the opening mile, improved position while racing in the two path around the last turn and finished evenly. MAKE NOISE led the field from the two path around the first turn and the first time by the stands, dueled on the inside through the next half mile, and weakened in the final furlong. SUPER WISE saved ground early, chased the leader from the two path through the next three quarters, came around the final bend in the three path and faded from there.
