WISELY PLAYED away alertly and tracked the leaders into the stretch the first time while saving ground along the inside, held his position in the run down the backside, rallied smartly three wide through the final turn, and closed determinedly three wide in the drive in a solid effort. PAINT ME LUCKY broke sharply and dueled for the lead one out from the rail entering the stretch the first time, continued to force the issue two wide in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, was unable to match strides with STAY FANTASTIC entering the lane, and faded in deep stretch. FORT LANGLEY settled at the back of a compact field while saving ground at the rail entering he stretch the first time, commenced his bid four wide entering the final turn to loom a danger midway through the turn, but was unable to sustain his bid in the drive while finishing four wide.
