DON'TCROSSTHEDEVIL vied for the lead from the three path, initially stalked the front runner, then drew next to that foe and co led, matched strides, launched a bid at the three eighths pole, was able to clear the rest by the five sixteenth pole, was encouraged at the quarter pole, responded well, increased the distance between them and the rest of the filed, continued t lead through the stretch run winning easily. IBERIAN RUNNER vied for the lead from the rail, led briefly while being pressured by an outside contender, was joined and matched strides, could not sustain bid and ran behind the leader, but was second best. SMARTY ALEX raced off of the pace and in the two path, gained ground down the back side , shifted out into the four path at the half mile pole, continued to build momentum and gain ground four wide through the turn, was strongly encouraged at the three sixteenth pole, responded well and improved his stride late getting up for third. MAHOMEY stalked the pace setters from the out side in the four path, continued to race in the four path through the turn, was able to maintain that position through out the race. BAY BE GONE was off a step slow, raced in the three path, collected himself and found his stride, willingly launched a 'one run' bid, improved position, was in contention by the quarter pole but is was not enough today. CLARESTOWN stalked the pace from the rail, launched a bid at the three eighths pole, shifted into the into the four path in the upper stretch then gave way. STOCKPILER was off a bit slow, raced into mid pack, angled over to save ground and raced on the rail, improved position, shifted out into the four path in the upper stretch, then shifted out again into the six path but to no avail. IMA BIG BOPPER stalked the early pace from the two path, could not sustain the bid and faltered. WICKED ROSE showed little. INTO WISHING made no impact. DUDE DROP KID trailed.
