DEAR SANTA set a pressured pace on the inside, made a bid leaving the turn to draw out by the furlong marker, then was kept to mild crop pressure to prove best. MAKE 'EM TAP was settled back early, came five wide into the lane and finished well but proved to be no match to the winner, second best. FLEETS BAY was allowed to settle early, made a two wide bid on the turn but flattened out the final furlong, held show award. GAMING SOUL was reserved early, made a middle move up the inside but lacked a late response. ENSIGN SKIP was reserved early, made a three wide move on the turn but weakened in the drive. FOREVER SAUCY pressed the winner three wide and weakened. BALI ROLLING TIDE was rated two wide early, checked by the half mile marker and dropped back.
