Chart notes
WIN FOR THE MONEY stalked the pace from the rail down the backside, angled three wide in the far turn to engage the leaders, took control in upper stretch and held the closer safe under confident handling. GLIDER unhurried in the early going to be near the rear of the pack, circled in the far turn and closed well down the lane to be second best. FLOP SHOT (IRE) tracked the leaders from the fence to the far turn in striking distance, tipped out around the tiring pacesetter at the quarter pole and finished willingly. STORMY PATTERN prompted the pace for the first half mile, made a threatening bid midway through the far turn and weakened in the drive. SHADOW SPHINX settled in hand to be a the back of the field and made late gains in the stretch. HIDDEN ENEMY (IRE) went evenly lacking a closing rally. CODE RUNNER raced wide throughout and never menaced. NOVGOROD THE GREAT sped to a clear lead for half a mile and tired in the far turn.
