Chart notes
HAL'S DREAM settled off the pace, asked along three wide second turn, firm handling while making slow but steady progress on the leader past the furlong marker, just up at the wire. MACEE broke on top, soon cleared, set an unpressured and comfortable pace, nailed in the final strides. MYLIES STAR lacked any early foot, four to five wide late in the final turn, rallied to be along for the show, not a threat to the top two. RYAN'S GRACE moved up to chase the leader through those modest fractions for six furlongs, had little left for the stretch drive. GURKHA GOLD (IRE) in the second flight early, saved ground into the stretch, failed to respond. BOSTON LUCILLE reared at the break, trailed early as a result, remained back in failing to muster a rally. KAITLYN'S COURT finished early to also be always outrun.
