Chart notes
BUFF HELLO settled off the pace, made a three wide run into contention on the turn, charged to the front at the quarter pole, pulled away and was ridden out. CATCH THE SMOKE raced off the pace, advanced on the turn, rallied four wide past the quarter pole, drifted in nearing the sixteenth marker and held on for second. POLAR WIND was outrun early, advanced on the turn, angled out entering the stretch, rallied outside and missed for second. FEAST dueled three wide for the early lead, chased between rivals on the turn and weakened. JET WINGS dueled inside for command, briefly shook free entering the turn, dueled again and gave way in the stretch. NEWBOMB dueled between rivals for the early lead, chased on the turn, gave way and stopped. RIVER DOG was fractious in the gate before the start, then refused at the break. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the start, the race was declared official.
