Chart notes
THE CALABRESE KID chased ROUSING RUBBLE while racing two-wide, moved up to take the lead from that one entering the stretch and gradually drew clear. D K'S CROWN saved ground while being allowed to settle, angled out to come three-wide entering the stretch and closed strongly. EL CHAVO DEL OCHO saved ground while being reserved off the pace, checked in tight nearing the three-eighths pole running up on D K'S CROWN, then angled out, came four-wide into the stretch and was going well at the finish. ROUSING RUBBLE quickly opened a clear lead, saved ground setting the pace to the stretch and weakened during the late stages. R B EYE dropped back while saving ground and failed to menace. SIX BLESSINGS was forwardly placed to the stretch while three-wide and tired. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT AROUND THE THREE-EIGHTHS POLE BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
