JOKES UP was situated in the middle of the pack between rivals at the half, made a little run outside at the three eighths pole, was floated out to the seven path straightening out for the drive and could not get involved running to the wire. NEOLITHIC NATION prompted the pace inside early on, waited behind foes under a snug hold on the fence with four furlongs remaining, travelled in midfield when shuffled back at the three furlong marker and backed away at the sixteenth pole. JULIE'S MIST trailed throughout and passed a weary runner down the lane. JUST ON TIME had a slim lead between horses down the backside, was relegated to the chaser inside with half mile to run, could not keep up when roused at the quarter pole and retreated in the last furlong.
