Chart notes
HALF BIRTHDAY sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, turned back a bid into the stretch, shook clear, then drew off under mild urging. BREEZY CONNECTION well placed and outside, moved up on the two path through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, lugged in and could not gain the final furlong. SOUTH HOUSE mid pack, moved up three and four wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and evened out. DEVRA WARRIOR allowed to settle, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, then weakened late and held a share. SALLY'S MUSTANG broke awkwardly from the gate, moved up three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the lane and flattened out. MERINO WOOL ran evenly, widest. ELIA well placed and off the rail, angled in and tracked the leader through the turn, then faded into the stretch.
