Chart notes
GOLDEN JUAN pressed from outside, went three to four wide on the turn, was in command by the top of the stretch, forged clear in mid-stretch and was kept to the task. PIT STOP MAN eased back off the leaders, switched outside those stalking, went four wide on the turn, kept on to gain the place while no threat to the winner. REBEL EMPIRE broke on top and set the pace facing pressure from the eventual winner outside, raced off the rail through the turn, was overtaken by the top of the stretch, drifted in a bit in mid-stretch, weakened some but kept on well enough to hold show. GOLDEN CANDY was in a bit tight in the early going racing at the back, went two wide on the turn beginning to advance mildly, came out a bit in mid-stretch, ran on and missed third. EASY DAY was off the pace and outside early, went three to five wide throughout, ran on belatedly. TRUMPENCE chased from inside, dropped back and faded.
