AVENUE NIEL (IRE) jostled with a rival early while taken in hand, went around the first turn in the two path, saved ground while rated under snug restraint, moved up with five furlongs to run, made a rail bid late on the backstretch, took a short lead while along the rail at the five-sixteenths, lost the advantage under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final sixteenth and weakened but held the show. RHOMBIQUE bumped with a rival at the start, was reserved inside through the first two turns, settled towards the back, traveled around the final turn in the two path, was roused three wide into the stretch, raced between foes passing the three-sixteenths, bumped with a rival at the furlong marker and lacked the needed kick. ELLE EST FORTE was reserved on the outside while three to four wide, came under urging late on the backstretch, turned into upper stretch under a drive, raced between horses passing the three-sixteenths, bumped with a foe at the furlong marker and also lacked the needed kick.
