Chart notes
REIGNING CHICK showed speed on the outside then chased the leading duo, went around the turn in the three path, gained four wide into the stretch then took over around the three-sixteenths, kicked clear shortly thereafter then was put to a right-handed crop, switched to a left-handed crop while still clear outside the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. MERAVIGLIOSO was urged along off the pace, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, was driven five wide into upper stretch, chased the winner outside into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth but missed while clear for the place. VITAEMI was fractious in the gate, bumped solidly with a rival at the start, showed good speed on the inside, dueled inside of a foe while along the rail, passed the five-sixteenths with a solo advantage, was roused for more coming to the quarter-pole, spun a bit off the inside into upper stretch, was headed near the three-sixteenths, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. GRINGOTTS was restless in the gate, stumbled at the start, was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the turn, swung four wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. BACKED BY GOLD broke a step slow then was hustled, was taken in hand briefly while crowded between foes early, raced near the back under urging, went three wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. GAME THEORY bobbled at the start, dropped back on the outside under urging, went four wide on the turn and failed to respond. BEAUTIFUL KAREN was restless in the gate, bumped solidly with an opponent at the start, dueled on the outside of a foe, vied in the two path on the turn, dropped back at the five-sixteenths and stopped.
