Chart notes
NEW YORK THUNDER angled in while blazing to the front, showed the way down the backstretch, vied in the two path while challenged to his outside on the turn, shook clear when set down into upper stretch, responded well when put to a left-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths, drew off under the crop while remaining on his inside lead into the final sixteenth, swapped to the proper lead about seventy yards from the wire then was eased up while much the best. DEER DISTRICT brushed with a rival multiple times at the start then was taken in hand briefly, settled under some urging, saved ground while put to stronger encouragement on the turn, moved off the rail under a drive in upper stretch and got up for the place at the wire. DREW'S GOLD moved out in the early going, tracked then chased the pace on the outside, made a bid outside of the winner in the three path midway through the turn, lost touch with that foe into upper stretch, chased under the crop into the final furlong and proved no match then was caught for the place at the wire while weakening. GILMORE brushed with a rival a couple times at the start then was taken up while in tight between horses, dropped well behind the rest of the field, went around the turn in the two path, spun four wide into the stretch then moved further out and failed to threaten. RYVIT stumbled at the start, was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the two path, spun three wide into the stretch and had nothing left.
