Chart notes

BIG DON'S SMILING was sent to establish the early lead, showed good speed into the turn and set a pressured pace to the quarter marker, was taken off of the rail and raced three paths deep into upper stretch, extended the lead at the furlong grounds, was kept to task under steady urging to the final sixteenth, felt late pressure from the runner-up and lasted in the final strides for the win. SNAKE ISLAND was a bit slow into stride early on and settled at the rear, chased from a two wide path to the quarter marker, swung widest and mounted a seven wide bid nearing the furlong marker, closed fast in the final sixteenth, pressured the winner in the late stages but could get by BIG DON'S SMILING and missed for the win, while holding safely for second. MADE THE TEAM raced close to the quick early pace, pressed outside of the pacesetter along the turn, could not match strides with BIG DON'S SMILING into the stretch and came five wide for the drive, mildly re-rallied in the final sixteenth and held for third. EFFECTIVE GIG chased the quick early pace while outside of rivals, gained ground while three wide on the turn, was steered to the six path into upper stretch, made a mild advance at the furlong grounds and lacked the needed late response. TEAGANS ATM hopped leaving the break and was off a step slowly, chased the fast early pace from the inside, gained ground along the turn, tipped three wide for the stretch drive, ran evenly while within aim to mid-stretch, could not keep pace with oncoming rivals in deep stretch and gave way.
