Chart notes
Following a twenty minute delay due to lightning in the area, STERLING SILVER raced six paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three then two wide through the turn coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch, angled in to the three path with three-sixteenths to go loosely splitting foes to take command just inside the eighth pole, then inched away under a drive kept to task. GOOD SAM six to seven paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked four then three wide through the turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung five wide into upper stretch, took over command with three-sixteenths to go, dug in drifting out a path and was collared inside the eighth pole, came in to get a better look at her main rival and was shaken off in the late stages while well clear of the rest and along second best. YOU LOOK COLD bobbled slightly at the start, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung three to four wide for home and weakened in the stretch. ONTHEONESANDTWOS coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three then two wide through the turn coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch under threat to the outside, yielded the front near the three-sixteenths and weakened.
