Chart notes

JERRY THE NIPPER angled in while showing early speed, went around the opening bend in the three path, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid while thre then two wide on the far turn, gained the lead into upper stretch, drifted out while battling with the runner-up inside the furlong marker, dueled with that foe to the wire and gamely prevailed. KURAMATA (IRE) brushed with a rival at the start, was rated just off the pace on the inside, shifted to the three path late on the far turn, gained to make a bid into upper stretch, dueled outside of the winner in the final furlong and was denied while clear for the place. EASTER (FR) was last to commence, became rank in the three path on the first turn, continued bit rank early on the backstretch then was reserved on the outside, moved from three to five wide on the far turn, came eight wide into upper stretch and finished with late energy for the show. STARTING OVER brushed with a foe at the start, saved ground while reserved under restraint near the back, spun off the rail into the stretch then dropped in some and improved for the last spot in the superfecta. MAIN EVENT angled in while going to the front, rounded the first turn in the two path, showed the way down the backstretch, was asked along the rail on the far turn, lost the advantage into upper stretch, dropped back under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. UNANIMOUS CONSENT (GB) bumped with a rival early, saved ground on the first turn, was rated off the pace, raced inside on the far turn, shifted three wide into the stretch then tipped out more and lacked the needed response. CHULAINN broke out at the start, bumped with rivals early, was reserved in the two to three path, shifted five wide late on the far turn, came seven wide into upper stretch and failed to rally. FIELD PASS was bumped in the hindquarters at the start, brushed with a foe early then was pulled off that opponent, was carried out into the first turn, dropped to the four then three path on that bend, settled off the pace, was urged in the two path on the far turn then driven five wide into upper stretch and also failed to rally. GRAND SONATA traveled three wide around the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along while moving from three to five wide on the far turn and failed to threaten. DOMINICAN PIONEER bumped with a foe at the start, bumped with another rival early then became very rank, was taken up while very hard to control into the first turn, went four to five wide on that bend, settled on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, went three to four wide on the far turn, came six wide into upper stretch and faltered.
