Chart notes
OPTIMAL COURAGE dueled on the outside up the backstretch, led the way while saving ground around the turn and held that margin to the wire. SAMURAI MIKE chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path, drifted mildly in the lane and couldn't get by the winner. MIAMI CROCKETT dueled on the inside early, dropped back while saving ground around the bend and was outfinished from there. MARK THE MOOSE trailed the field up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and improved position mildly in the stretch. TAKE ME UP BRADY raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, came around the bend in the three path and faded in the lane. DILLON ROCKS raced off the pace up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and was empty from there.
