Chart notes
SUN DADDY allowed to settle, moved up inside through the second turn, angled four wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and edged up in the final strides. ALABAMA SLAMMER sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, stayed on when challenged through the second turn, dueled through the lane with DANEFIELD, edged ahead of that one, then was no match for the winner and held the place. DANEFIELD well placed and outside, held position on the two path through the second turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, dueled with that one, then weakened late and held the show. BARNEGAT LIGHT tracked the pace, saved ground through the turns, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, angled out and could not gain. VAN allowed to settle, moved up down the backstretch, lost some ground three and four wide through the second turn, fanned widest into the stretch and had no rally. HEIRLOOM KITTEN mid pack, held position three wide through the second turn, then faded into the stretch.
