Chart notes
LATE FOR LUNCH angled inside and hustled up to a slim lead in opening stages, widened advantage around the turn, saved ground entering the lane and kept to task under steady encouragement. SIR ELI tracked the top pair up the backstretch, continued up close just off the inside around the turn, given cue two wide at the head of the lane, produced a solid finish but could not reach the winner while finishing clearly second best. MILTON STREET raced off the pace in the opening quarter, chased three to four wide around the turn, kept on through the lane and cleared the rest. JOHN R hustled along two wide in early stages, swung five wide for the drive and had no late response. CYCLONE MESA briefly held the lead then conceded position to the eventual winner, raced up close through the backstretch, continued in contention around the turn then retreated in the lane. MR. SOLO raced off the top trio in the opening quarter then steadily retreated.
