Chart notes
FORWARD OBSERVER was slow early, taken outside, rallied into the turn, swung wide entering the stretch, closed willingly and wore down his rivals to get up in the final strides. THE BUSINESS MAN broke in, pressed the pace four wide, fell back on the turn, closed steadily and got up late for place. SERPICO R S S broke in and bumped at the start, vied between horses, drew clear into the turn, led to deep stretch and was outclosed. SEA OF INDY raced in the back and improved position in a steady effort under mild urging. MAMIE'S LAST HOPE broke slowly, pressed the pace three wide between horses, fell back on the turn and gave way. ROLL TO RICHES broke out and bumped at the start, saved ground, was checked on the turn and dropped further back. DIM THE LIGHTS bumped on both sides at the start, vied inside, stopped into the turn and was not urged in the stretch.
