Chart notes
MACHO ROCCO led the way on the inside up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the bend and dug in gamely in the lane to hold the win. RELEASED tracked the leader on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, came around the turn in the five path, began a bid in upper stretch and dueled to the wire but could not get by the winner. MARVELOUS THUNDER raced in the middle of the pack on the inside early, saved ground around the turn and improved position in the final furlong. TACTICAL ATTACK chased the leader between horses up the backstretch, came around the turn in the four path and weakened in the lane. HAPPY HOUR BOBBY bumped with the horse to his inside at the start, recovered to press the pace between horses up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the three path and faded in the stretch. SHUT UP MICHAEL (IRE) stumbled and bumped with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, trailed the field up the backstretch, raced in the two path around the turn and was empty in the lane.
