Chart notes
FLYIN BY broke in and bumped LAKER JET, then moved up to be prominently placed while racing three-wide, responded during the drive and was up in the final sixteenth to win going away. FEATHER INTHE WIND saved ground setting the pace, drifted out slightly nearing the three-sixteenths pole, was unable to resist the winner late but continued on well for the place. ABOVE THE STARS saved ground stalking the pace, angled out nearing the eighth pole and finished in a mild rally. FIRST PROMISE was allowed settle in stride, moved up along the outside to be four-wide the final quarter and went evenly late. LAKER JET was bumped at the start, then dropped back, came two-wide into the stretch and was not a factor. BLOWING BAYOU saved ground while being unhurried and failed to threaten.
