Chart notes
NOMOS tracked on the inside, saved ground on the far turn, angled out three wide turning for home, responded when asked, closed willingly outside, ran by the leaders, kicked away and was shown the crop through the final sixteenth. PORTIS raced off the pace inside, moved up four wide at the quarter pole and rallied outside for second. MIDNITE LUMBERJACK was off slowly, raced three wide early, moved up four wide on the backside, chased three wide on the far turn, came four wide into the lane and finished evenly to earn the show award. TABLOID steadied entering the first turn, stalked between rivals, moved up two wide to contest the pace, dueled on the far turn and weakened. CODE ENFORCER raced off the pace inside, then between rivals, steadied entering the far turn, advanced inside on the turn, rallied on the rail in the stretch, then steadied lacking room past the furlong marker. J. T. THREE raced four wide early, then stalked three wide, chased and tired. ULTIMATE STRIKE was fractious in the gate, raced off the pace between rivals, then three wide, went five wide past the quarter pole and lacked a rally. DR SCHUSTER set the pace on the inside, then vied inside, dueled on the far turn and tired. GAINING ACCEPTANCE ducked in and was steadied after the start, then slow into stride dropping far back, was pulled up on the first turn and walked off. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the start, the race was declared official.
