Chart notes
LUCKY SMILE sprinted away from the field quickly, held sway without challenge, then drew off in the lane and was kept to the task. YARDMAN rated outside the leader, held position on the two path through the turn, came three wide into the stretch, then was no threat to the winner, while clearly best of the rest. SHARP PLAY BOY allowed to settle, moved up inside through the turn, angled three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and edged up for the show. PITON tracked the pace, lost some ground through the turn, came through inside into the stretch and weakened. DON'T FLINCH unhurried, saved ground on the two path through the turn, came three wide into the stretch and improved his position. TRUCKIN TOMMY rushed up in the early going and faded through the turn, then was vanned off. CHAMPAGNE FOR ALL was a brief factor.
