Chart notes
WEAR THE CROWN vied with WHATWASITHINKING for the lead from along the outside, shook that one off nearing the stretch to open a clear lead and then was fully extended to just last. STEPHEN JAMES saved ground while being allowed to settle, angled out nearing the three-sixteenths pole and finished fast to just miss. WHATWASITHINKING vied for the lead from along the inside, dropped back entering the stretch and then responded to pressure to be gaining again late. MARKSMAN ON TARGET was unhurried early, came three-wide into the stretch, split rivals nearing the eighth pole and was making up ground late. FRANKS FIX IT stumbled at the start then moved up three-wide to be forwardly placed to the stretch and weakened. ATTORNEY LOUIS was allowed to settle while saving ground but lacked a rally.
