Chart notes
WITHOUT A SONG was off in the middle of the field, was hustled a bit, was cued at the five eighths pole, was in full stride and racing five wide by the half mile pole, circled the field in the four path, continued to race in the four path down the stretch, took the lead at the eighth pole and pulled away in the last sixteenth for the win. SEA FORCE vied for the lead and raced first four wide, then two wide, set the pace, led until the eighth pole then was collared, but still kept on and was second best today. SAN JUAN HILL stalked the early leaders from the four path, raced in between horses, was patient and waited until after the three eighths pole to launched a bid, raced in the two path through the turn and into the upper stretch, hit his best stride late and closed well. KILO KEY was off a step slow, trailed the field early, raced in the three path, launched a bid at the half mile pole, gained ground and improved position through the bend, closed in the stretch but to no avail. CADILLAC COWBOY vied for the lead, then settled off of the leader and stalked from the four path, stayed in that position until near the quarter pole where he faded. SOCIAL APPEAL was off the pace, raced between foes and mildly improved late. DOCE DE LA NOCHE raced from the middle of the filed on the rail, but never got involved. PROSPECTOR'S POINT was off the pace, raced on the rail, showed little. LEVY BILL made no impact.
