Chart notes
CONTRABANDISTA rated off the early pace then edged up closer late on the turn, raced in traffic but got through two wide, moved up closer racing between rivals at the eighth pole, took over a slim lead from CODE ONE, dug in under pressure and held firm. CODE ONE raced two to three wide near midpack in early stages, moved up four paths wide near the quarter pole, took over a slim lead past the furlong marker then got collared by the winner, sustained game bid but could not get back by. UNSTABLE PRINCE was unhurried and raced near the back, saved ground around the turn, lacked racing room at the head of the lane, tipped two to three wide and finisihed willingly. BRAHMS IMAGE vied for the lead in openings stages then got overtaken by CONSTITUTION DAY at the half mile marker, continued to chase up close around the turn, sustained bid to the furlong marker then flattened out. OUTOFQUEMADO raced in the back, saved ground then shifted out in upper stretch and improved position. WAR RASCAL tracked the tip trio in the opening quarter, was ridden along two to three wide around the turn, failed to kick on and ran on evenly in the lane. CONSTITUTION DAY took over the lead at the half mile marker, held firm around the turn, continued on top a furlong out then gave way. SCOPELLO vied for the early lead then got overtaken at the half mile marker, continued to chase up close around the turn then came up empty in the lane.
