Chart notes
JOE BRAINS saved ground stalking the pace, angled out to come three-wide into the stretch, took the lead nearing the sixteenth pole and won going away. LAST SECOND LOUIE was allowed to settle, moved up four-wide on the backstretch and turn, came five-wide into the stretch and closed strongly for second. MAYBE IT'S TIME was wide on the first turn then prompted the pace while racing three-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. SPANISH CZAR vied for the lead into the stretch while racing two-wide and weakened slightly in the late stages. CARICO settled in the middle of the pace while racing two-wide, rallied into the stretch but lacked room behind horses in the final sixteenth. MAKOTO vied for the lead from along the inside to the stretch and tired. DISTORTED TIMES saved ground racing in the middle of the field but lacked a rally. LYING JEFF saved ground while being unhurried, steadied while in tight along the inside nearing the five-eighths pole and failed to recover.
