Chart notes
FITTS tracked close up on the inside, rallied on the rail entering the stretch, dueled to a short lead in midstretch, edged away and held on late in a driving finish. CHIRINGO raced three wide off the pace, came six wide into the lane, made a late run outside, surged in deep stretch and got up for second. KING MOONRACER raced off the pace between rivals, tracked the leaders on the turn, came five wide into the stretch, rallied between rivals in deep stretch and dug in gamely to the wire. BABY BOOMER raced two wide off the pace, moved up behind the leaders, lacked a clear path, found one in midstretch and rallied late between horses. JUDGE DAVIS trailed the field, saved ground on the turn, rallied on the rail in the stretch run, moved up on the rail to challenge FITTS in deep stretch, then lacked room and was forced to check. TAP FIRST raced off the pace inside, moved up between rivals, steadied at the quarter pole, then lacked room behind rivals, checked passing the furlong marker and got clear late. TWO STEPPIN KLUKI vied three wide for the lead, dueled to midstretch and weakened. BUMP N RUN vied inside for the lead, dueled to midstretch, then weakened. YEAGER vied between rivals for the lead, dueled on the turn to midstretch, was tiring and steadied late. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the stretch run, the race was declared official.
