Chart notes
STRONG TIDE was unhurried into the first turn, saved ground while two wide on the backstretch, then maintained a steady hand drive throughout the far turn from the three path, dug in gamely in the upper stretch to battle with JEOPARDY THEORY and CASH LOGISTICS in the final furlong and was up at the wire to prove best. JEOPARDY THEORY was well rated down the backstretch while chasing the pace from the inside, then moved up on the far turn from the four path, menaced at the quarter pole while for vying lead with inner rivals, continued to menace gamely down the stretch and was out finished in the end. CASH LOGISTICS tracked the pace from the inside down the backstretch, then bid on the far turn to battle for the lead between rivals in the home stretch and missed the place prize in the end. GRAND IN BAY raced in the middle of the pack from the inside under a steady drive down the backstretch and into the far turn, rallied in mid stretch but needed more in the end. AKAMAI set the pace from the inside into the first turn, then lead the way down the backstretch and into the second turn, was met with rivals at the quarter pole and was unable to keep the lead and gave way in the end. KING ICE raced from the inside towards the back of the field throughout the first half, then was moving up on the far turn from the four path to bid in the stretch but came up empty. MAJOR SPARKS settled along the inside, then bid on the far turn and was no threat. MOWINS raced from the inside in the middle of the field, was gaining ground leaving the far bend, angled to the two path but could not retain bid and gave way in the end. MANSFIELD TIGER pressed the pace down the backstretch and into the far turn, was in a long drive to vie for the lead at the quarter pole, was used up and weakened in late stretch. STEWARDS RULES settled in the two path and was no menace. PER RULING FROM HIWU, MOWINS WAS DISQUALIFIED FOR POSITIVE TEST.
