Chart notes
ARZAK broke near the back of the field then was taken in hand, moved up under coaxing then settled near the middle of the field, went two then three wide on the turn, rallied five wide into the stretch, closed strongly to make a bid inside the furlong marker, gained a short lead in the final sixteenth, fought with the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. COPPOLA went to the front, showed the way with an uncontested advantage, raced inside on the turn, spunoff the rail into upper stretch, responded well when put to a right-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths, led under a drive into the final sixteenth then was headed, fought on with the winner to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. BRING ME A CHECK settled off the pace, moved closer while three wide on the turn, was roused near the five-sixteenths, came four wide into the stretch, chased the top two into the final sixteenth and lacked the needed kick while just able to get the show. THIN WHITE DUKE settled near the back, was roused two then three wide on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and improved to just miss the show while narrowly up for the last spot in the superfecta. CAZADERO broke out and was off a step slow, settled towards the rear, was roused while inside to the two path on the turn, came four wide into the stretch then tipped further out under the crop, chased into the final furlong and also lacked the needed kick then just missed the superfecta. MID DAY IMAGE broke out but was quickly corrected by the rider, was well placed just off the pace on the inside, drafted along the rail on the turn, was asked while cutting the corner into the stretch, chased into the final furlong and weakened. SLIPSTREAM was reserved near the back then hard held around the half-mile pole, went three then four wide while let out on the turn, was driven six wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. HIGH FRONT tracked the pace on the outside, was asked in the two path on the turn, spun three wide into the stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. JAXON TRAVELER settled on the outside without cover, was asked three then four wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and faltered.
