FIRST RULE stalked three wide, chased on the turn, bid nearing the quarter pole, rallied to a short lead, edged away from SUTTON VALLEY and held well late under urging. APACHE raced off the pace, chased inside on the turn, came three wide into the lane, commenced a rally in midstretch and closed well late for second. SUTTON VALLEY set the pace on the inside, dueled into the stretch, dug in gamely inside of FIRST RULE, yielded and weakened late. MERU raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn and lacked a rally. HIDDEN WARRIOR stalked four wide early, chased on the turn, came four wide into the lane and lacked a rally. PEPE AND HEYWOOD pressed the pace early on, then chased inside on the turn and faded. OVERBEARING chased outside, chased on the turn and faded. MOGALU raced off the pace inside and did not factor.
