Chart notes
SPINNING MUSICIAN hustled to the front to set all the pace, pulled away going into the final turn to prove best. CITY OF GOD tracked the leader around the first turn the made a three wide bid at the six furlong marker to vie for the lead to the half mile marker and chased the winner home. BENCH PRESS was unhurried around the first turn, steadily advanced down the backstretch while saving ground to the three furlong marker moved out to three wide around the final turn, tipped back inside at the top of the stretch and finished well. FLETCHER STATION chased the leaders around the first turn then steadily advanced down the backstretch but fell back on the final turn, made a rebid into the stretch to improve position. SPELLED WELL vied for the lead from three wide on the first turn then was between horses to the half mile marker and retreated. LUCKY LEWIS was off the pace for the first quarter and was done.
