Chart notes
STAYED IN FOR HALF set the early pace while being pressured into the turn, drew off in mid stretch and was clearly much the best. ALTO ROAD dueled for the lead while two wide into the turn, was hard used then gave way in the drive and was second best. U. S. ARMY was saving ground on the turn then made a bid in the stretch but was no menace. UNDER THE GUN chased the early pace while two wide into the turn, made a bid in upper stretch but faltered in late stretch. AUTUMNS STRONG MAN was settled then rallied six wide in upper stretch and was no threat. PINKY RING BLING rallied five wide on the turn but was no factor. AMERICAN CODE dropped back after the start and was outrun.
