ALTERINA forwardly placed from the start, came under a light rating hold and was latched on the leader three wide early on, tucked to the two path down the backstretch and was patiently handled until placed to coaxing near the five-sixteenths as the leader attempted to slip away under challenge, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, rallied to come again issuing a challenge inside the final furlong taking command from a drifting out leader near the sixteenth marker, then edged away to the finish kept to task. STRANGE FRUIT established the front and showed the way rated on the pace along the inside, took to the two path through the far turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole under challenge from the outside in SHOTGUN PATSY, swung four wide into upper stretch, shook off that rival drifting out through to the finish despite a right handed crop and was caught a sixteenth out, then ran on getting corrected with a tug on the left rein and was along clear of the rest and second best. SHOTGUN PATSY traded a bump at the start with POWER AND GLORY, chased two to three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, offered up a bid swinging six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive angling in two paths near the sixteenth pole and weakened in the late stages. CAUSE I'M ELEGANT bobbled at the break, chased just off the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung three wide into upper stretch and stayed on one paced through to the finish. POWER AND GLORY traded a bump at the start with SHOTGUN PATSY, chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, tucked inside at the three-eighths, cut the corner into upper stretch and shied from the crop of the rider of ALTERINA directly in front and weakened to the finish. GO SUSAN GO chased three then two wide coming under coaxing half a mile from home, took the inside route into upper stretch, made no impact. BELLA SONADORA stumbled at the start conceding five to six lengths to the front before being able to settle into stride, chased along the inside through the opening bend well behind at the tail of the field, came under coaxing just off the inside half a mile from home, continued just off the inside into upper stretch, trailed throughout and was eased home to the finish.
