Chart notes
DIAMONDS N DEW dueled on the early lead, gained a clear lead down the backside, was hooked in mid stretch, dug in gamely and prevailed. LA ROSA pressed the winner throughout, drew even in mid stretch, could not get past late but was second best. LINE DANCER was never far back, rallied on the inside and finished well. RIPLEY EFFECT tracked three wide and went evenly late. PARFAIT saved ground and lacked a late response. MIRACLE DRUG (IRE) was no menace.
