Chart notes
THE CALABRESE KID vied for the early lead from between horses while two-wide, dropped back nearing the three-eighths, then angled out to be four-wide at the quarter pole, took command nearing the eighth pole and quickly drew clear. SPIRE was unhurried early, rallied four-wide into the stretch and finished fast. MAHI MAHI was reserved off the early pace after breaking alertly, came five-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. STAND TO dueled for the lead into the stretch from along the inside and weakened during the drive. WESTERN RULE prompted the early paced while racing five-wide early, angled in slightly on the turn and tired. YOU SPLIT TENS disputed the pace for a half mile while four-wide and gave way. CROOKED FINGER RAY showed brief speed from between horses while three-wide, dropped back and angled to the inside nearing the three-eighths pole and faltered during the drive.
