Chart notes
DRUM AND DRUMMER was allowed to settle early, made a two to three wide move on the turn, came thee wide into the lane and continued that move to be clear leaving the furlong marker, then came out late impeding PURSUING PACE then held on late, driving. PURSUING PACE was reserved early, advanced between horses on the turn, came four wide into the lane, closed well but had to steady late and shift out then held on to the place award late. FROSTY WARRIOR was void of early speed on the inside, angled off the inside by the quarter pole, came six wide into the lane and closed well. MENTALIST was rated early two wide, then had a mild late rally for the last spot in the superfecta. COSMICALITY set the early pace, then got out entering the backstretch five wide and ran off, then dropped to the inside and weakened the final furlong. NEUTRAL was settled early, three wide on the turn and weakened. TAPIO was reserved early and lacked a rally. STILL THE ONE was three wide into the first turn, chased the pace three wide and tired. BOURBON BROWN chased the pace two wide and stopped. THE RIDER ON PURSUING PACE FILED AN OBJECTION AGAINST DRUM AND DRUMMER for alleged interference in deep stretch, after the STEWARDS reviewed the replays the OBJECTION WAS ALLOWED AND DRUM AND DRUMMER WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SECOND.
