BAILS HIM OUT away well and raced to the lead from along the rail in the run down the backstretch, set a pressured pace from the inside of BRANNIGAN into the turn, got the better of his pace rival leaving the turn, and held SMILING PREACHER safely at bay late to prove best. SMILING PREACHER tracked the leaders four out from the rail in the run down the backside, rallied smartly three wide through the turn, and finished determinedly two wide in the stretch drive to prove clearly second best. BRANNIGAN away alertly and pressed the pace from the outside of BAILS HIM OUT in the run to the turn, continued to force the issue two wide through the turn, was unable to match strides with his pace rival entering the lane, and finished two wide in the drive to hold on for a share. PEDAL TO THE METAL broke sharply and stalked the contested pace in the run down the backstretch while racing three out from the rail from between rivals, rallied two wide through the turn, and improved his position late while unable to mount a serious late bid. MOON TIME settled off the early pace while racing five wide in the run to the turn, rallied four wide through the turn, but was unable to sustain his bid in the stretch drive. FIRST ENDEAVOR tracked the leaders in the run down the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, continued two wide into the turn from a tracking trip, but faded in the late going. MR ZED settled well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the turn, was always well back and failed to respond when called upon. ELUSIVE GOLD tracked the leaders four wide in the run down the backstretch, began to drop back midway through the turn, and was eased in the lane.
