ROCKET AND ROLL hit the inside of the gate then bumped lightly with a foe while off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, tugged hard on the bit while rated under stout restraint, went three wide for most of the turn, shifted four wide while asked outside the quarter-pole, rallied to make a bid outside the furlong marker, fought outside of two foes to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. PURE FIRE set the joint pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, was put to a drive in upper stretch, battled between rivals in the final furlong, swapped back to his inside lead at the sixteenth-pole, fought on to the finish and just missed while narrowly getting the place. CLEVER FOREVER was well placed just off the pace, moved up to make a bid nearing the half-mile pole, vied inside on the turn, was given his cue outside the quarter-pole, came under the crop at the top of the stretch, fought inside of the top two in the final furlong and just missed while clear for the show. BEARY FUNNY was hustled from the gate then settled off the pace, went around most of the turn in the two path then was asked while shifting three wide, pursued the leaders in upper stretch, moved out in the final furlong and weakened. NOBILIS settled at the rear, was roused while moving from four to six wide on the turn and failed to respond. REFUAH broke out then was hustled, settled on the outside, was asked while four then five wide on the turn, chased into the stretch and came up empty. FLYING IN STYLE was fractious in the gate, made mild contact with a foe at the start, set a joint pace, vied between foes in the two path on the turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths dropped back into upper stretch and faded.
