ROYAL THUNDER , bumped by BACKATYA leaving the starting gate, saved ground around the turns, eased out at the head of the stretch, secured command inside the sixteenth pole and drove clear. MINISTER QUINN accelerated to the early lead, moved to the inner rail approaching the first turn, was nicely rated, finished willingly but was no match for the winner. BACKATYA bumped the winner when bearing out at the break, challenged for the lead outside MINISTER QUINN leaving the backstretch and gave way. CROWNEDCOUNTCRISTO trailed.
