Chart notes
SHAKIN IT UP LARRY sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, held sway without challenge, then drew off in the stretch and was kept to the task. GINS AND TINS mid pack, moved up two and three wide through the turn, fanned four wide into the stretch and closed well for the place. DANEFIELD well placed and outside, gained position two and three wide through the turn, bid three wide outside the leader into the stretch, then weakened late and held the show. CANADIAN GAME mid pack, looped up three and four wide through the turn, fanned five wide into the stretch and got up for a share. LITTLE BIG tracked the pace, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and faded the final furlong. TONY SMALL showed little, inside. BEAR CREEK was never involved. RIO ABAJO broke out, bobbling and bumping a rival at the start, was pushed in, then bore out badly and was pulled up and was vanned off. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE START AND BACKSTRETCH RUN, RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
