Chart notes
POETICA broke through the gate and was reloaded, took control early, showed the way two wide into the turn, challenged from inside around the bend, lost command into the lane, fought back from outside through the lane and dug in late to recapture the lead midstretch and gamely prevailed. SIDE BY SIDE raced up close on the inside early, was in tight from the three-eighths pole to the five-sixteenths marker, found room and challenged inside the leader at the quarter pole, inched ahead at the top of the stretch, dueled with POETICA down the lane and got outkicked in the late stages. MISS MONARCH BAY was off a bit slow in the beginning, moved into range, traveled along the inside then tipped four wide leaving the turn and was along for the show. STRIKINGLY chased off the inside, coaxed into the far turn, had to pause when in tight between rivals earl on the turn, took aim three wide into the drive and flattened. SULTRY KITTEN forwardly placed three deep leaving the backstretch, got shuffled between at the three-eighths pole, came five wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. SATOSHI was off a bit slow to begin, went up pressed the pace from outside, lost ground around the bend, eased in the lane and walked off. SMELL THE COFFEE broke a bit slow, trailed four wide into the lane, eased and walked off.
